THANK YOU TO ALL CANADIANS WHO VOTED TO HEAVE STEVE! WE DID IT!

Now we can get down to the serious work of repairing this wonderful country of ours and stay engaged in the process so that we NEVER allow fascism to take root here again!

I am a Canadian who, like many is upset at the state of our country under the Harper Regime. I do not wish to see Canada change into Harperland under the Harper Government. This blog will help document the actions of the Harper government which are eroding Canada's democratic process.

    Thanks so much for your on going efforts in amassing and reprinting these articles. At times it was terribly depressing to be reminded of what the worst PM in history was up to, however your work was another essential piece in bringing Harper down.

    I would second that post but I would suggest that, if you can, you continue with your work if in a different vein. There is very little actual watch on government in Canada and you served that purpose in a direct way.

    Thanks for the efforts of all of you! I had to smile at your heading, ‘We’re Free!’. I had the same feeling when I woke this morning, that we’d been ‘liberated’ as if we’re some third world country throwing off an over lording dictator, which of course we are far from. But the feeling is genuine nonetheless. Thanks for caring enough.

      Thank you all so much for your support! We will be leaving this blog up, but no longer be posting to it. We need a break 🙂
      I am hoping to start a CanGov Watch blog – hopefully with a more positive bent, but watchful nevertheless.
      You’re right, quillfyre – we need to be ahead of the game so we don’t get a repeat of 10 years of hell!

    I second John Peate’s comment. Just in case things don’t go the way we hope they will, it would be good to be aware before ten years of poor government go by anytime soon.

    Thanks so much for this blog over the years. It was so appreciated! And I do agree with the above Commentors, that this valuable service should continue, if at all possible, because fascism never sleeps and it moves on cat’s paws, to mix my metaphors. We cannot let our guard down just because there is a new party in place. We need to stay engaged in order to stay vigilant and your blog was so very helpful in this regard. Hope you will consider continuing. And thanks again for a Herculean job well done.

    Hello Harper Watch people. Are you just one person and could you give me an idea of how much time this blog took to do each week? Did you get some funding and if so how much?

    I have all these questions since we have finally found someone who may want to do a similar blog here in BC where we have sheharper as premier – similar sleazy deals, secrecy and corruption to the core. Sheharper blames the victims and does her best to get back at those who don’t agree with her/vote for her. We need a similar blog to Harper watch in the worst possible way and would greatly appreciate any advice you could give to us.
